Muthayammal Educational Institutions:

Until the early 1980s, rural Indian students who wanted to pursue higher education at the undergraduate and post graduate levels had to migrate to cities. The Muthayammal Educational Institutions is the vision of its founder and leader, Shri. R. Ramswamy. The trust was primarily instituted to bring the best of education opportunities to thousands of talented rural students. Since then, the Muthayammal Educational Institutions, headquartered at Chennai, has been bringing to rural Tamil Nadu, several state of the art educational institutions.

The Muthayammal Educational Institutions is chaired by Shri. R. Ramaswamy and supported by a board of trustees. Under the aegis of the Trust, The Muthayammal Polytechnic College was founded in the year 1984 and provided excellent opportunities in the field of technical education to the students of Rasipuram. The Muthayammal College of Arts and Sciences was founded in 1994 and the Muthayammal Engineering College was established in 2000.
