When was CBT established?

CBT was established on July 1999 with Biotechnology courses. Later depending on the needs, it upgraded itself by offering courses on Bioinformatics & Biochemical Technology.

Where it is located?

CBT is located at calm, serene area of Rasipuram, Namakkal Dt of Tamilnadu. For more details visit How to Reach?

How do I obtain information about Admissions?

Admission notification will be announed in the Month of April every year through web and newspapers. The application form and Prospectus may be downloaded in the Web or by Post.

What are the courses offered by CBT?

CBT offers various UG, PG and Research Programmes. For details visit Courses

How do I contact CBT?

The working hours at CBT is 8.30 am-5.30 pm. More details are given under 'Contact us' link at the bottom of the page.

I am an Alumni. How do I get my Certificates?

After the announcement of Final semester results, you have to apply for Convocation / Provisional certificates through Exam Cell of our College. The application forms can be downloaded in the Periyar University website or from Exam cell. You will be informed about your Convocation day through post. For migration certificates, you have to approach the University office directly with the requisition letter.

Are outsiders allowed to use the facilities of CBT?

Outsiders are allowed to utilize the laboratory and library facilities of CBT after considering the needs of Applicant. A good number of research scholars from other university are utilized our services.

What are my options after graduating from CBT?

Most of the students find employment through the placement cell of the department. Some of the students go for higher studies in India / abroad. A good number of students are working as a Research Fellow in CSIR institutes.
